For over 60 years and three generations, Ralph’s Furniture & Mattress, located in Buckhannon has provided high quality furniture, bedding, floor coverings and mattresses to Upshur and surrounding counties.
Founded by Ralph Cutright in May 1960, Ralph’s opened its doors as a television, appliance and furniture shop. Throughout the years the store eliminated the televisions and appliances section in exchange for floor coverings and then mattresses, a move that has made Ralph’s a leader in furniture and mattress industry for more than 30 years.
The original structure, destroyed by fire in April 1986, has been replaced by the current, expanded location, featuring 17,000 square feet of top-of the-line pieces. Ralph’s Furniture & Mattress celebrated the new location with a grand re-opening in August 1986. The three showrooms are full of the finest furniture and flooring, sure to please any customer.
